Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee Welcomes Jennie Kent as New Board of Trustees Member

MILWAUKEE– (October 30, 2023) Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (BGCGM) is pleased to announce the addition of Jennie Kent to its Board of Trustees. Kent was nominated and elected at a meeting on September 28 and with her addition the total number of BGCGM Board of Trustees members is fifty-six.

“We are grateful to Jennie Kent, and happy to welcome her to our Board of Trustees,” said BGCGM President and CEO, Kathy Thornton-Bias. “Her experience and expertise will allow us to continue to advance our mission and create a lasting impact on Milwaukee’s youth. We appreciate that Jennie has chosen to invest her time to work with us at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.”

Kent serves as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Kohl’s where she is responsible for all legal matters for the business and acts as Corporate Secretary for the Kohl’s Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Kohl’s, Kent held multiple legal leadership roles at Quad, including Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief People and Legal Officer. In this role she led legal, human resources, corporate communications, compliance, government affairs, real estate, safety, and environmental management.  Kent also served in legal leadership roles at Harley-Davidson Motor Company and was responsible for overseeing legal matters for the company’s international expansion in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. She also previously worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and for the Milwaukee law firm Foley & Lardner. Kent earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa and earned her law degree from Stanford Law School.
