Black Pride Milwaukee, Inc. Presents the Inaugural Winter Lights Gala and Awards Show

Black Pride Milwaukee, Inc. (BPMI) is proud to announce the inaugural Winter Lights Gala and Awards Show, a groundbreaking event dedicated to celebrating the resilience, brilliance, and achievements of Milwaukee’s Black LGBTQ+ community. This highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the stunning venue located at 2200 E Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53211.

The Winter Lights Gala is more than an event; it’s a movement. Designed to honor Black queer individuals, organizations, and allies making an impact in Milwaukee, this night will shine a spotlight on those who inspire, advocate, and uplift the community. With a mission to build bridges between communities and foster equity, this gala seeks to amplify the voices and accomplishments of those who too often go unrecognized.

A Night of Celebration and Purpose

The evening will feature:

  • Awards Show: Honoring leaders, trailblazers, and advocates in categories such as Advocacy & Social Justice, Business & Entrepreneurship, Arts & Culture Impact, and Lifetime Achievement.
  • Captivating Performances: Including show-stopping acts by Milwaukee’s finest entertainers, such as drag sensation Baylee IJ Davenport and musical artist Maceo.
  • Keynote Address: Delivered by CBS 58’s Frankie Jupiter, with reflections from BPMI Founder, Matt Hogans.
  • Silent Auction and Live Fundraising: Proceeds will directly support BPMI’s mission of dismantling systemic barriers and empowering Milwaukee’s Black LGBTQ+ community.
  • Networking Opportunity: Attendees will include Milwaukee’s civic leaders, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations, fostering connections and collaborations.
