Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt is inviting residents to attend Black on the Block set to take place tomorrow – Saturday, June 15 from noon – 4 p.m. at 1935 W. Hampton Ave. The event, hosted by Black Market MKE and J.A.Y. Academy, will include a youth bike giveaway, food, music and more. The event is free and open to the public, and the bike giveaway will take place while supplies last. Children and families are only required to present their child’s report card in order to receive a free bike.

“I am thrilled to see Black on the Block return for a second year after the community embraced this offering last year,” said Alderwoman Pratt. “I want to thank Eric James for his efforts to support the community, and making the event even bigger and better this year. I would encourage everyone in the area to stop by, enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere, and pick up a bike while supplies last.”
