Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Announces Details for Oct. 1 Virtual Launch Party Event for New Online Education Platform

The Museum announces how parents, caregivers, educators and stakeholders can join the organization’s virtual Up & Away Launch Party event taking place at 11 a.m. on Oct. 1.

MILWAUKEE, WI – (September 28, 2020) — The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum today announced details for how parents, caregivers, stakeholders, educators and community members can join the Up & Away Launch Party on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m., when the Museum will debut its new platform for online education.

Preregistration for the virtual Up & Away Launch Party is encouraged and participants can register here.

“We are excited to invite the community to our virtual Up & Away Launch Party event, where we will introduce our new strategic educational initiative that expands our mission and reach, far beyond the Museum’s walls,” said Museum Executive Director Brian King. “Event attendees will be the first to see our new online education platform that connects children to playful learning through creative, hands-on workshops presented by Museum educators and instructors from across the globe.”

During the 30-minute virtual event, viewers will hear from Museum Executive Director Brian King and the Museum’s technology partner, GLOMADO’s CEO and Co-Founder Wayne Taitt and Director of Instruction and Learning Marie Antonelli.

Attendees will be the first to see the Museum’s new online platform and the catalogue of Museum workshops that will be available for purchase by families starting Oct. 1. Additionally, those who officially registered before Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. are entered to win a prize of 3 virtual tokens for online workshops. The winner will be selected at the end of the event. Rockwell Automation is the Title Sponsor for the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum’s Up & Away Launch Party.

The mission of Betty Brinn Children’s Museum (BBCM) is to inspire all children to wonder and explore their world through play and innovative, hands-on learning experiences. The Museum opened in 1995 and serves almost 200,000 visitors each year at its downtown Milwaukee location, which is temporarily closed. BBCM is dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to its interactive educational exhibits and programs designed to promote the social, emotional and intellectual growth of children from birth through age 10.
