Bayshore Announces Groundbreaking for Redevelopment
Bayshore and city leaders invite community to join in the celebration
MILWAUKEE (Oct. 9, 2019) – Bayshore is excited to welcome the next phase of the recently approved redevelopment project with a groundbreaking celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Glendale Mayor, Bryan Kennedy, along with additional city leaders, will join the Bayshore team in celebrating the recreation of Bayshore.
“One of our main priorities with the redevelopment of Bayshore is to bring the community together by offering a year-round destination with welcoming spaces and ample opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment,” said Kirk Williams, managing director for Cypress Equities. “In that spirit, we’re incredibly excited to celebrate the groundbreaking with the City of Glendale and encourage everyone to come out and join us.”
The ceremony will take place at the Rotunda, located at Bayshore (5800 N. Bayshore Dr., Glendale, Wis.) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an official program beginning at noon. Festivities will include live music, interactive art and information regarding community partnerships, as well as food and beverage samples from a wide selection of Bayshore restaurants and retailers. The celebration is free and open to the public.
The redevelopment project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The newly envisioned Bayshore will feature enhancements to the physical structure, more local retailers and merchants, unique and curated restaurant concepts, upgraded green space designed to host year-round entertainment and activities, and space for an upscale/select-service hotel and new residential facilities.
