Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs would like to congratulate Pete’s Fruit Market for winning the State Farm Building Award and Wells Fargo People’s Choice Award.” The Northside full-service grocery store won at the Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) gala last night.

“I am ecstatic this business is getting recognition for its role in providing fresh, healthy food at economical prices, while employing people from the nearby community,” said Alderwoman Coggs who worked with the business owners and the community to help launch the Bronzeville location.

“Another key partner in making that development happen is Kalan Haywood of the Haywood Group who also won the Northern Trust Navigator Award last night, congratulations to him!”

Coggs said the 6th Aldermanic District is seeing unprecedented growth. For any community minded development and growth of any neighborhood to occur there must be a collaborative approach. These projects in the 6th district are made better by input from residents and community stakeholders.

“The 6th District is in a transformational time and these projects are fine examples of that,” said Ald. Coggs.
