Alverno College Announces New Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer
MILWAUKEE, (April 21, 2026) – Lorenze Legaspi, MS, has been named vice president of finance and administration/chief financial officer for Alverno College. In this role, Legaspi will coordinate and oversee the financial functions of the college. He will also serve as a member of the executive team, participating in institution-wide strategy planning and policy development while directing the departments of Finance, Human Resources, Facilities and Information Technology. He began on April 20.
“Lorenze brings a thoughtful, mission-centered approach to financial stewardship and operational leadership,” said Christy L. Brown, president of Alverno College. “His experience in higher education finance, combined with his collaborative leadership style, will continue to drive our progress toward fiscal strength in support of Alverno’s continued focus on student success.”
Legaspi has more than 15 years of experience in higher education finance and operations. Most recently, he served as vice president of administrative services at San Diego Community College District – San Diego Mesa College, where he led budgeting, facilities, technology, safety, student accounting and shared services, and partnered with human resources and auxiliary services. Prior to that, he served as vice president of administrative services at Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District – Grossmont College. He also held roles at North Orange County Community College District in the School of Continuing Education and in district services.

Legaspi earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University in Long Beach, and a master’s degree in education from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Penn.
