Ald. Coggs Reminder: Please support measure condemning abduction of Nigerian girls

Tomorrow, the Milwaukee Common Council will take up a resolution condemning the abduction of several hundred Nigerian girls and asking U.S. and foreign officials to pursue their release from captivity.

Dear residents,Tomorrow, the Milwaukee Common Council will take up a resolution condemning the abduction of several hundred Nigerian girls and asking U.S. and foreign officials to pursue their release from captivity.Alderwoman Coggs asks for your support on the measure. If you are able, please attend the council’s meeting. Alderwoman Coggs encourages women and girls in attendance to wear a Gele (a traditional African headwrap) as a show of unity and support for the girls and their families.

The meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday May 13. The measure will be taken up toward the end of the meeting. Please see the attached press release for more information.
