Ahead of Workers’ Memorial Day, A Better Wisconsin Together Demands Action on Workers’ Rights
MADISON, Wis. — Ahead of Workers’ Memorial Day on April 28, A Better Wisconsin Together is standing in solidarity with Wisconsin workers, and continuing the fight to strengthen workers’ rights and safe workplaces for all, by encouraging Wisconsin lawmakers to support legislation that protects workers across the Badger State.
To make that right a reality in Wisconsin, we need our elected representatives to fight for workers. That means creating better paying jobs with safe working conditions, and honoring fallen workers by ensuring that safe and healthy workplaces are guaranteed for every Wisconsinite working today.
“Whatever the job, we should have the freedom to have our voices heard in our workplaces and join with our colleagues to negotiate safe working conditions, good wages, and benefits,” Ripp said. “Too often, GOP politicians in Wisconsin are siding with greedy corporations instead of workers. But together, Wisconsinites can demand that working in safe and healthy conditions is a fundamental freedom in our state.”
