MILWAUKEE, Wis. (June 22, 2016) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that partners Jack Cook and Greg Everts have received awards from Acquisition International’s 2016 Intellectual Property Awards.
Acquisition International’s 2016 Intellectual Property Awards are dedicated to rewarding the top intellectual property professionals across the industry, including trademark, copyright, patent, and litigation practices and their dedicated employees. Now in its third year, this awards program offers a unique resource detailing the major players in this industry for anyone seeking IP support services.
Milwaukee partner Jack Cook received the “Best IP Portfolio Management Company” award. Cook is the national chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and focuses his practice on assisting large national and international corporations, research institutions, and other IP owners and developers with a broad range of intellectual property issues, emphasizing patent prosecution, IP licensing, patent litigation, and data security. He received his law degree from Marquette University Law School, and his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Michigan Technological University.
Madison partner Greg Everts has been honored with the “Best Trade Secrets Dispute Attorney” award. Everts is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he regularly handles complex commercial and regulatory matters, with a focus on Lanham Act false advertising litigation, consumer protection, government regulatory proceedings, and civil penalty actions; and trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, and his master’s degree from Princeton University.
