54 Hour closure of southbound WIS 100 planned for this weekend

Lane restrictions on northbound WIS 100

By - Oct 6th, 2022 09:36 am

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Zoo Interchange North Leg project team is planning a 54-hour closure of southbound WIS 100 (Mayfair Road) starting at 10 p.m. this Friday night. There will also be lane restrictions on northbound WIS 100 during the same timeframe. The closure will allow the construction of a major storm water sewer to be placed under the roadway.

The closure of southbound WIS 100 will begin on Friday night at 1 p.m. and run until 5 a.m. on Monday morning. The closure will have WIS 100 fully shut down at North Avenue. The primary detour route during the closure is Burleigh Street to southbound I-41/US 45. Motorists can rejoin WIS 100 using Watertown Plank Road. Delays are anticipated.

Access to the businesses inside of the closure can be made using WIS 100 northbound. North Avenue will be open with two westbound lanes available between WIS 100 and 118th Street. North Avenue was reopened to traffic last Friday.
