The 12th annual MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit is set to take place on Saturday, January 27 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School located at 3275 N. 3rd St. The event, hosted by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, is free and open to the public.

The MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit is held to support the growth of local entrepreneurship and help innovators stimulate economic development, neighborhood reinvestment, and job creation. The event is sponsored by the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District 8, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin, the City of Milwaukee, and Alderwoman Coggs.

In addition to business resource vendors and workshops, this year’s program will feature a special keynote address from Tish Taylor-Searcy, a serial entrepreneur, brand manager, and marketing executive. She is the owner and founder of BRAND FETISH®, a boutique brand management and integrated marketing agency offering marketing and visibility campaign development and execution for emerging and advanced businesses, entrepreneurs, and entertainment properties. In addition, she is the founder of startup Bossy Coffee®, a specialty ground coffee company.

Her portfolio includes overseeing high-level campaigns for brands such as Scott Tissue, Sony Music Group, and more. She has also positioned herself as an authority in the entertainment space, guiding and managing her son’s career – singer and actor Jacob Latimore.

“This year’s MKE Business Now Entrepreneurship Summit will be a jam packed event highlighted by keynote speaker Tish Taylor-Searcy who will share her story and provide invaluable information that helped her succeed as an entrepreneur,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “I encourage anyone looking to learn about starting or growing a business to mark their calendar now and plan to attend the event next Saturday.”
