Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs and Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II are inviting residents to the 13th Annual Housing Resource Fair event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 at North Division High School, 1011 W. Center St.  The event will provide residents with information on home financing, home repairs, foreclosure prevention, and more from a variety of organizations.

The Housing Resource Fair will feature three workshops including: Am I Ready to Buy a Home? – Determine Your Home Buying Readiness at 10:30 a.m.; Home Repair – Resources and Helpful Tips For Selecting A Contractor at 11:30 a.m.; and Homes for Sale – Searching for a Home at 1:00 p.m.

Additionally, more than two dozen vendors will be on-site to provide information and resources, and throughout the day there will be free giveaways of donated items.

Alderwoman Coggs encourages residents with housing needs or questions to attend the fair. “The Housing Resource Fair is a great opportunity to help individuals collect all the tools necessary to be a successful homeowner, and I strongly encourage residents to attend and take advantage of the available housing resources,” she said.

Alderman Stamper agrees. “This marks the 13th Annual Housing Resource Fair and we’re excited to continue to provide this invaluable resource for our community as we hope this will be a significant step in increasing homeownership in Milwaukee,” he said.

Sponsors for the event include Alderwoman Coggs, Alderman Stamper, the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation (NIDC), and the City of Milwaukee.
