101.7 The Truth Hosts First Signature Event, Inviting Fans to Family Fest

Milwaukee, WIS. (August 4, 2023) – 101.7 The Truth is excited to announce Truth Family Fest, a signature event on Saturday, August 12^th at Riverside University High School where fans will have the opportunity to engage with Truth talent, eat delicious food, enjoy local entertainment such as spoken word from Riverside University High School students, and more. The event, sponsored by Ascension Wisconsin, Associated Bank, Educators Credit Union, Hunger Task Force, and MATC, is free to the public and fans of all ages are invited to attend.

Cherie Harris, general manager of 101.7 The Truth said: “We are excited to host fans, partners, and teammates for our very first signature event – Truth Family Fest. It will be opportunity for families to obtain resources on health care, financial education, recreation and back to school resources that will help make the transition easier to begin the upcoming school year.”

Fans can also expect to see and listen to an on-site broadcast with Truth talent Tory Lowe and Melanie Ricks from noon to 2 p.m. In addition, other interactive activities include free haircuts by Chris P. Fades LLC, an appearance from University Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s mascot “Pounce”, backpacks filled with school supplies provided by Iota Psi Sigma Alumnae Chapter – Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and entertainment by Milwaukee Hittaz, a local Milwaukee band.
