Phyllis Birkholz is fiercely proud of her grandfather (last name Lentz) who was highly regarded for his skill at making fishing nets which sold widely across the state and country.

Mike and Gary Konkel are Jo's sons. They say their grandmother is carved into a totem occasionally on display in the Streets of Old Milwaukee at the MPM.

Marty Gradzichowski admitted he doesn't know much about his family's background on Jones Island, but as a child many identified his grandmother as being a Kaszube.
