Bringing together a variety of the western world’s formative musical sounds, RUACH, Inc. will present several internationally acclaimed instrumentalists for an evening of “Woodwind Voices—Recorder, Rhythms, and Beyond.” The March 6th concert at 7:00 p.m. at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center will feature multiple Grammy winners on recorder, clarinet, percussion, and piano: New York-based Nina Stern, virtuoso recorder performer and globally recognized educator, will be joined by Glen Velez, celebrated percussionist and founding father of the modern frame drum movements, as well as winner of four Grammy awards. Todd Levy, the Milwaukee Symphony’s eminent principal clarinetist and winner of three Grammy awards, and prominent Milwaukee pianist and Steinway artist Jeannie Yu round out the stellar collection of performers.
