From blues to soul, gospel and folk, The Heritage Blues Orchestra Quintet (HBO) and Ruthie Foster expertly intermingle the richness of the American music experience. Performing separate sets and collaborating for the first time on stage, these celebrated artists promise a concert experience of unforgettable depth and power. HBO’s acclaimed 2013 debut, “And Still I Rise,” garnered their first Grammy nomination and a Living Blues Critics Award for best debut. Nationally known clinician Thomas W. Jefferson encourages anyone who appreciates Gospel music to attend his workshop at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. He has a doctorate of music from Northwestern University and is the author of Spirituals for Piano, Volumes 1 and II. Choir members, directors, cantors, and pastors are encouraged to attend. 15th Annual Local Farmer Open House

Each spring, Riverside Park's Urban Ecology Center is THE place to be to meet local farmers who grow food sustainably and learn how to buy directly from them. The annual Local Food and Farmer Open House event has grown since we first organized it ten years ago to help our community connect with local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), farmers. Now over 1,000 people attend each year, the number of CSA farmers attending is over 20. During the rest of the year, our community can visit the Center and our web site to learn more about CSAs and where to find local farms. Flute and Clarinet Quartets concert at Brinton House

Conviction- Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah
