The Kids From Wisconsin revue is produced in collaboration with some of this country's best writers, arrangers, and choreographers. Costumes are designed and created in Broadway style, adding to the already exciting performance. Performing a broad repertoire of music that includes the American favorites, big band, 50's- 80's classics, Motown, country, Broadway and current top hits, filling a two hour fully staged Broadway style performance.

Milwaukee Opera Theatre presents: Thank You. NEXT? (a reality opera) Music by Tim Rebers / Words by Alicia Berneche To prove that the best drama happens off-stage, MOT has commissioned two opera singers to write a dramedy about the universal experience of the job interview. In the hallway outside an audition room, eleven opera singers prepare to sing their hearts out for a panel of judges. Here, in that most nerve-wracking and vulnerable of spaces, they tell the stories of the trials, heartaches, and joys of dedicating their lives to art. Featuring two pianists, famous arias from the standard repertoire, and original compositions by Tim Rebers, Thank you. Wisconsin folksinger and songsmith David HB Drake presents the music of Great Lakes and saltwater sailors in “A Sailor’s Songbag”. He plays the music and tells stories of the seven seas and dockside pubs performing on guitar, concertina, and handmade banjo, dulcimer, and Native American flute. David has been the resident musician for the Wisconsin’s flagship, the three masted schooner “Denis Sullivan” and has served as shantyman, interpreter, and performer aboard tall ships on the Atlantic, Pacific, and Great Lakes.

On Saturday, August 6 , from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., a free wellness workshop titled “Guideposts of Faith in Times of Stress” will be sponsored by the School Sisters of St. Francis on their campus, St. Joseph Center, 1501 S. Layton Blvd. (27th St. at Greenfield Ave.), Milwaukee. Because living a balanced life can sometimes be challenging, having excellent resources for physical, psychological and spiritual wholeness is invaluable for people of faith. Presenter Marcia Isherwood, RN, will provide tips on dealing with a disquieted heart. As Gesu Parish nurse and representative of the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation, her healthcare training and faith make her ideal to speak about leaning on God as well as knowing when to reach out for medical assistance. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and nurturing a faith life has been documented to yield positive effects on overall well-being. Ms. Isherwood will cover it all in her engaging and lively presentation style. Participants are strongly encouraged to sign up today, as registration is expected to fill up fast. Calling all teen actors, directors, designers, and stage managers! From July 11-July 23, work with other teens to create a full-fledged theatrical production in just two weeks! Then perform it onstage at Milwaukee's premiere professional theater! This summer, get a taste of being a member of a professional theatrical company by participating in The Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Summer Play Festival. Teens will get the chance to take part in every step of the production process during an intensive two weeks guided by professional theater staff. Their capstone project will be to mount a performance in the Milwaukee Rep’s Stiemke Studio that is acted, directed, designed, and produced by teens. Students will receive professional training aspects of theater each morning, and will apply the techniques during afternoon rehearsals. This is a WONDERFUL opportunity for students to receive intense theater training in all facets of production! Choose your track and immerse yourself in it! Partial need-based scholarships are available.
