In Tandem Theatre presents Dracula vs The Nazis

Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra presents MYSO’s 2016 Playathon, presented by Olshan Outreach at Bayshore Town Center

Following an intensive five-week period of student fundraising, the 1,000 members of MYSO who make up three full orchestras, seven string orchestras, a wind ensemble, two flute choirs, a dozen jazz combos and two steel drum bands, will perform during this FREE event. This is the organization’s only annual event that features every MYSO ensemble.

Enderis Park Harvest Fest

To celebrate the success of the inaugural Enderis Park Farmers Market and the opening of a brand new playground, the Enderis Park Neighborhood Association is hosting a special event. The first annual Harvest Fest will take place at Enderis Park on Sunday, October 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. At the event, you’ll be able to peruse pumpkins and fall produce and treats while enjoying harvest-themed games, crafts and other family-friendly activities, live acoustic music and more. We’ll also dedicate our exciting new tot lot at the fest. Bring your own pumpkins to paint and decorate, purchase them from our local partner Sentry on 71st and Lisbon or pick up pumpkins right at the event from our farm vendors. There’s no Packers game that day, so make sure you stop by for lots of harvest-themed fun!

Expedition to Lake Michigan

This event is part of the Wisconsin Science Festival. If you took all the water out of Lake Michigan, what would you see? A hidden ecosystem that is just as important to people as the water. Researchers from the School of Freshwater Sciences will demonstrate what ecological information they collect and what it tells us about Lake Michigan. Take a video ride on the UW-Milwaukee vessel, The Neeskay, and then see how water behaves in a large tank when you change conditions like temperature, flow and light. Finally, don’t miss the groovy “Fluid Flow Experience” before or after the show.

About Joe Mande Comedian/writer Joe Mande wrote for three seasons on the popular NBC show PARKS AND RECREATION and most recently wrote on the critically acclaimed Netflix series, MASTER OF NONE. His other writing credits include KROLL SHOW for Comedy Central. As an actor, he has been on PARKS AND REC, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, and MODERN FAMILY.
