Learn how Iron Age people from what is now Germany produced pre-hopped beer and mead. Participate in a demonstration on the science of malting and fermentation to produce an ale based on evidence from a site dating to 540 B.C. while seeing the evidence for prehistoric brewing. Then taste samples of a beverage based on archaeological evidence for Iron Age braggot brewed by community partner Lakefront Brewery.

Our Enchanted Forest event features the best nightlife in Milwaukee! Kids and their grown-ups will enjoy a guided nighttime walk through Riverside Park and encounter costumed characters along the way. After the hike, come back inside the Center for games, crafts, and hot apple cider. Walks begin at 5:30 p.m. and leave about every 20 minutes. The last walk leaves at 7:20 p.m.
