Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Vanya and his adopted sister, Sonia, are living out their middle age in an old farmhouse in Bucks County, PA, after years of caring for their ailing, Chekhov-loving parents. But their quietly tedious existence changes dramatically once their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her twenty-something boy toy, Spike, for a weekend of wild costume parties, voodoo dolls and family feuds. In its own deliciously madcap way, Durang's Tony Award-winning play not only offers endlessly inventive comic twists, but some keen insights into the absurdities, challenges and agonies of twenty-first-century life as well. Exhibition at MOWA: Art on Tap
Pabst. Schlitz. Miller. These brands are synonymous with Milwaukee where, until Prohibition, business was booming. Modern advertising was revolutionized during this time and brewers took advantage in order to convince a thirsty public that their brews were the best. This resulted in iconic images, elaborate signage, and unforgettable slogans that are still used today. Art on Tap | Early Wisconsin Brewery Art and Advertising is on view at MOWA July 16–September 24, 2016.

Some popular swing dances are Jitterbug, Lindy and Jive. Jazz (ages 7-9) A fun, high energy class set to popular music. Jazz dance encourages individual expression and development of personal style. 1:00-1:45 Hip Hop (ages 12- adult) A high-energy dance form using the latest music mixed with movements that are influenced by some of today’s top video choreographers. Tap & Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6) Designed to build coordination, strength and body awareness through a range of creative techniques. Introduces basic ballet & tap terminology, positions, movements, and dance class etiquette. 2:00-2:45 Adult Beg Contemporary (adult) Characterized by its versatility, contemporary dance can be danced to any style of music and united with other dance forms to create a new style of movement. Creative Dance (Age 3-4) Fun and games that explore creativity and self-expression and develop dance skills that prepare students to move into other movement disciplines. Focuses on coordination, rhythm and creativity. 3:00-3:45 Jazz (ages 9-13) A fun, high energy class set to popular music. Jazz dance encourages individual expression and development of personal style. Beg Tap (adult) Tap dance sharpens reflexes and improves memory skills and coordination. Beginning classes will work toward establishing fundamental tap movements, vocabulary and will work on basic rhythms and steps that progress into fun and lively dance combinations.
