Senior Safari

Milwaukee County Zoo

We’re celebrating seniors with FREE admission on this select day for guests 60 and older. Enjoy fresh air and exercise as you explore the Zoo, connect with wildlife, and meet the animals! Special activities and experiences are offered, designed for the young at heart!

Senior Safari will offer a day of fun and entertainment, with free admission and activities for guests age 60+ (and their caretakers) from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proof of age is required to receive free admission.

St. Camillus Senior Health Outreach: Start your day with a complimentary apple from St. Camillus. Then visit their booth to find out about senior services and meet St. Camillus personnel.
Located in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place 

Seated Strength with St. Camillus: This class is designed especially for older adults and will take you on a full-body journey using resistance bands — all from the comfort of your chair!

Located on the Horicon Bank Flamingo Patio

Entertainment: Marcell Guyton, Piano Man Extraordinaire – featuring rock, pop, R&B, and all the classics!

Chair Yoga
Join in for beginner-level sessions designed to get your body ready to explore the Zoo.

Pickleball
This popular paddle sport is the fastest-growing sport in America! It’s fun for people of all ages and will keep you moving!
9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Fun Walk
Beginning at noon, enjoy a slow-paced walk through the grounds, led by Zoo Pride volunteers. They’ll discuss the sights and share their vast knowledge about all things Zoo.

Animal Chat: Learn about and meet one of the Zoo’s resident ambassador animals!

Zoo Expeditions: Give your feet a rest and join us on our Expedition Shuttle. With convenient stops around the Zoo, your favorite animals are a quick ride away!

Exploration Dinosaur presented by Meijer: Dig into dinos! Unearth the past and explore prehistoric life including the bones, teeth, and more from mighty dinosaurs like the T. Rex and Triceratops! It’s an exciting adventure to inspire the future and protect the species of today.

Animals in Action Talks: Learn about some of our most popular animals through these special presentations:

  • Gorilla/Bonobo — 10:30 a.m. — Apes of Africa
  • Elephants — 11:30 a.m. — Elephants in Action Pavilion
  • Camels — 2:15 p.m. — Camel Habitat
  • Harbor Seals — 3 p.m. — Harbor Seal Habitat

Safari Train sponsored by North Shore Bank: Relax and enjoy a ride through the Zoo on our famous miniature train.
