Milwaukee nonprofit Roots for the Home Team is joining Whole Kids Foundation and youth entrepreneurs from across the country to host a “Dream Like a Teen” Virtual Young Entrepreneur Round Table to help teens who want to grow or start their own business some day.
In the US, 8 in 10 (77%) of students in grades 5-12 say they want to be their own boss, and 45% plan to start their own business, and 42% say they will invent something that changes the world, according to the Gallup-HOPE Index. This event — led by teens, for teens — will give aspiring youth entrepreneurs insight and advice on how to pursue their dreams.
Roots for the Home team employs teens to “find their roots” and hone their leadership skills by developing and selling salads a professional sports venues, including the Minnesota Twins’ stadium at Target Field.
