Art Opening: “Bridging the Gap: Remembering the Past to Build a Better Future”

Milwaukee born Native American Artist, Nakoa Moonblood, uses visual and performance art to showcase Native American culture, the importance of respecting nature, and the strength that comes with community unity. Though drawings, paintings, photography, songs, and dance “Bridging The Gap” showcases the history of the Menomonee Valley through the eyes of local tribes and shines a light on current revitalization of the land and community. Refreshments provided. Artist will speak briefly at 6 p.m.
