Forty-six unit apartment building connected with St. Catherine Residence. Managed by Mercy Housing Lakefront. Located in Milwaukee’s Yankee Hill neighborhood.

General Capital Group served as the developer on the project.

The facility is named after the founder of the first women’s home opened by the Mercy Sisters in Dublin, Ireland (Catherine McAuley).

“Founded by the Sisters of Mercy 119 years ago, St. Catherine Residence, which includes McAuley Apartments, provides safe, affordable housing to more than 200 women and families. Many residents have limited access to other types of affordable housing and this ministry fills a critical need in the community. The mission of St. Catherine Residence and McAuley Apartments is to ensure safe, affordable and supportive housing to low-income women of diverse talents and needs who aspire to maximize their personal growth and employment opportunities.

McAuley Apartments features 46 apartments for individuals and families. The property incluides studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The building is located in the trendy and historical neighborhood referred to as the “Lower Eastside” and is only two blocks from the Park and Lake Michigan. This location is perfect, providing seasonally changing scenery plus hiking and biking trails, tennis courts and convenience to all city amenities.”
