UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Unveils New Food, Drink Options
New options will greet fans at Milwaukee's oldest arena.
At the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, the fall sports season is arriving with new food and beverage options.
“Each year we want to give our guests new experiences,” said executive chef Ryne Harwick. “Anybody can come and have a great sports entertainment experience along with some great new food.”
So what’s to come? Here are the highlights:
Jalapeño popper brat: jalapeño and cheddar brat, herb cream cheese spread, picked jalapeños. Served with kettle chips.
Brisket spud: baked potato stuffed with smoked brisket, garlic butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce.
Smashville sandwich: two smashed beef patties, Nashville chicken patty, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, spicy pickle chips, Nashville secret sauce, griddled brioche bun. Served with fries.
Harwick said he is most excited about the Smashville sandwhich, and credited his senior sous chef Joshua Kutzner with its invention. “It’s exciting because we’ve never had the duality of chicken and burger. It’s a great messy game day meal,” Harwick said.
Also debuting is a dirty soda bar.
Dirty soda is a non-alcoholic soft drink mixed with cream and flavored syrups. The teams that call the arena home—the Milwaukee Admirals, UW-Milwaukee Men’s Basketball and the Milwaukee Wave—created team-themed options. Customization will also be available.
“The Panther Dirty” contains Pepsi, caramel, vanilla and cream.
The “Dirty Wave” contains Pepsi, coconut and mango.
The “Admirals Dirty Blue” contains Pepsi, blue curacao and vanilla.
Drew Dawson, communications and public relations manager at Wisconsin Center District said per person spending at the arena’s sports teams events has increased 5.37% since the 2023-24 season. Dawson attributes that rise to the arena’s investment into upgrading vending spaces and keeping menus fresh for fans each season.
Sports fans attending the Milwaukee Admirals home opener (vs. the Grand Rapids Griffins) on Oct. 10 will be some of the first to fill their bellies with the arena’s new fare.
