Corn Fest is Coming to the Racine Farmers Market!
RACINE, WI — August 19, 2026 — The Racine Farmers Market on the Lake is bringing the fun of Corn Fest to the lakefront with a celebration dedicated to Wisconsin-grown sweet corn, local farmers, great food and family fun.
Thanks to Empire Home Remodeling, Corn Fest will take place this Saturday, August 22, at the Racine Farmers Market at Festival Park in downtown Racine. Market shoppers can celebrate one of Wisconsin’s favorite summer foods while enjoying fresh, locally grown corn and learning more about the farmers who bring it from the field to the community.
Fresh sweet corn will take center stage throughout the morning.
The market’s popular Taste It Tent will feature fresh raw corn for shoppers to sample and discover just how delicious corn can be straight from the farm. Kids can join the fun by searching for hidden corn-painted rocks throughout the market for a chance to win bags of kettle corn.
Market vendors will also be getting into the spirit of Corn Fest, sharing how they use corn in their products and giving shoppers even more reasons to explore the market.
“Sweet corn is one of those foods that just screams Wisconsin summer,” said Dawn Carrillo, Racine Farmers Market Manager. “We wanted to create a fun celebration around something our farmers grow so well—and give our customers another reason to come out, shop local and enjoy the market. And if you have questions, you won’t miss me—I’ll be the one in the huge corn costume!”
And there’s plenty more corn to celebrate. The first 300 people at the market will receive free roasted corn from our farmer Roberts Produce, making this a perfect Saturday morning for families, food lovers and anyone who believes summer simply isn’t summer without sweet corn.
Families are encouraged to make a morning of it—explore the market, have lunch, enjoy live music, meet the farmers, enjoy the activities and stock up on the ingredients for their next summer meal.

The Racine Farmers Market on the Lake brings farmers, food producers, bakers, growers and artisan food vendors together at Festival Park in downtown Racine. The market focuses on fresh, locally produced food while creating a vibrant destination for the community along the Lake Michigan lakefront.
The market takes place every Saturday through October 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.
