WMC Announces Legislative Award Recipients
2025-2026 Working for Wisconsin Award Presented to 72 Legislators
MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – the combined state chamber of commerce and manufacturers’ association – announced Wednesday the 72 lawmakers who have been awarded the organization’s prestigious Working for Wisconsin Award. The award recognizes state legislators who demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing policies that support economic growth, job creation, and a competitive business climate in Wisconsin in the 2025-2026 legislative session.
“Wisconsin’s economic success depends on leaders who are willing to champion policies that encourage investment, innovation, and job creation,” said WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “The recipients of this year’s Working for Wisconsin Award have demonstrated a commitment to strengthening our state’s business climate and ensuring Wisconsin is competitive for employers, workers, and entrepreneurs.”
A total of 72 legislators earned the distinction this year, including 18 members of the Wisconsin State Senate and 54 members of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Legislators receiving the award achieved a score of 70 percent or higher on WMC’s Legislative Scorecard, which measures support for key pro-business and pro-growth legislative initiatives.
“Policymakers who support economic growth help create opportunities for businesses to thrive,” said WMC Executive Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley. “These legislators have demonstrated a consistent commitment to making Wisconsin a great place to live, work, and do business.”
The Working for Wisconsin Award is based solely on legislators’ voting records and is awarded regardless of political affiliation.
WMC, the state’s largest business association, represents employers across Wisconsin and works to make Wisconsin the best place in the nation to do business.
