Milwaukee Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver After Fatal High-Speed Crash on N. Green Bay Avenue

Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 6:56 p.m., on the 4500 block of N. Green Bay Avenue. An unidentified driver of vehicle #1 was traveling north on N. Green Bay Ave at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle containing two occupants. The passenger in vehicle #2, a 50-year-old, succumbed to injuries sustained during the collision and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The driver of vehicle #2, a 36-year-old, was taken into custody for charges related to the incident. The driver of vehicle #1 fled the scene, and police are seeking to identify that driver. This investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
