The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Jayden Reed to a contract extension. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Friday.

Reed, who was selected by the Packers in the second round (No. 50 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Michigan State, has played in 40 games with 26 starts and in four postseason contests with three starts in his first three seasons. He has registered 138 receptions for 1,857 yards (13.5 avg.) and 15 TDs and rushed the ball 34 times for 310 yards (9.1 avg.) and three TDs during the regular season. In the playoffs, Reed has posted 12 receptions for 124 yards (10.3 avg.) and a TD as well as two carries for 23 yards (11.5 avg.). He has also returned 27 punts for 225 yards (8.3 avg.) in the regular season and four punts for 42 yards in the postseason (10.5 avg.).

Among wide receivers with 100 receptions, Reed ranks No. 1 in the NFL in passer rating when targeted (126.8) since 2023 (TruMedia). His receptions-per-target percentage of 72.3 ranks No. 7 in the league among wide receivers with a minimum of 100 receptions since 2023 (TruMedia). Reed was the first player in league history to post 750-plus receiving yards, 55-plus receptions, six-plus receiving TDs, 100-plus rushing yards and a rushing TD in each of his first two NFL seasons (2023-24) and was one of just three NFL players to hit those marks in back-to-back seasons (WR Bobby Mitchell, 1966-67; RB Marshall Faulk, 2000-01). He set a franchise rookie record with 64 receptions in 2023, eclipsing WR Sterling Sharpe’s mark of 55 catches in 1988.
