Supervisor Steven Shea Re-Elected First Vice Chairman of Milwaukee County Board
MILWAUKEE – At today’s organizational meeting, Supervisor Steven Shea (8th District) was unanimously re-elected by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors to serve as First Vice Chair for the 2026–2028 term.
Supervisor Shea, now in his fifth term representing the south shore communities of Cudahy, South Milwaukee, Saint Francis, and part of Milwaukee’s Bay View area, released the following statement:
“I am deeply honored by the confidence my colleagues have shown in me to continue as First Vice Chairman,” Shea said. “In this role, I will continue working to improve public transit and infrastructure across the County, expand economic opportunities for working families, and address equity and sustainability in all our policies. As Chair of the County’s Transportation & Transit Committee, I led efforts to strengthen our bus system and road safety. I have also served on the Community, Environment, and Economic Development Committee and co-chaired the City–County Climate & Economic Equity Board. I look forward to supporting Chairwoman Nicholson-Bovell and our Board as we advance our shared vision of a stronger, healthier Milwaukee County.”
