Lieutenant Governor Candidate David Varnam Meets Viability Requirements to Seek the Republican Party of Wisconsin Endorsement

Lancaster, WI (April 1, 2026) – Today, Former Lancaster Mayor David Varnam announces he has met the financial viability requirements to seek the Republican Party of Wisconsin endorsement for Lieutenant Governor.
“I am overwhelmed by the support of the people of Wisconsin. They heard my vision and agree that Wisconsin deserves a strong leader who stands up for social and fiscal conservative policies,” stated Varnam.
Varnam showed his support from the grassroots in Wisconsin by receiving donations from 50 Wisconsin counties with over 90% of donations coming from Wisconsinities. As the only republican lieutenant governor candidate with prior elected experience, Varnam has a unique background with a proven record as a three-term rural mayor, and national experience working with Dr. James Dobson at Focus on the Family.
