Packers Announce Trade With Cowboys
The Green Bay Packers have traded DL Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fourth-round draft choice in 2027. Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Wednesday.
Gary, who was selected by the Packers in the first round (No. 12 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft, played in 106 regular-season games with 74 starts in seven seasons with Green Bay and recorded 271 tackles (154 solo), 46½ sacks, 111 QB hits, seven forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries and six passes defensed. He also appeared in nine postseason contests with five starts and registered 20 tackles (10 solo), 4½ sacks and 10 QB hits. He ranks No. 6 in franchise history (since 1982) in career sacks and registered five-plus sacks in each of his final six seasons in Green Bay. Gary led the team in sacks (7½) and QB hits (15) in 2024 on the way to earning his first career Pro Bowl selection. In 2021, he led the Packers with a career-high 9½ sacks and a career-best 28 QB hits.
