Osburn Earns Spot on Big East Weekly Honor Roll

BIG EAST Attacker of the Week
Olivia Ripple, Denver, Jr., A
Ripple totaled eight goals, one assist, 10 draw controls and a ground ball in a 1–1 week for Denver. She scored four goals with five draw controls and a ground ball in an 11–12 overtime loss to Stony Brook, before adding four goals, an assist and five draw controls in a 15–9 win over Fairfield.

BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Emma Verhoest, Villanova, Jr., M
Verhoest recorded 28 draw controls across two victories for Villanova, including nine in an 11–5 win over Siena. She followed with a record-setting performance in a 14–12 victory at Vermont, collecting 19 draw controls to set a Villanova single-game and program record. The junior now leads the Wildcats with 78 draw controls this season and ranks sixth nationally in draw controls per game with 11.29.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Abby Beran, UConn, Jr., D
Beran led the Huskies’ defense in a 12–8 win over UMass, totaling five ground balls and five caused turnovers while also scoring her first goal of the season.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Kathryn Monaco, Villanova, Fr., M
Monaco tallied five points and two ground balls to help Villanova to a 2–0 week. She recorded an assist and a ground ball in an 11–5 win at Siena before scoring four goals in a 14–12 victory at Vermont, marking her second hat trick of the season.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Megan O’Brien, UConn, So., A
O’Brien recorded four goals, one assist and four draw controls in UConn’s 12–8 win over UMass and has tallied at least two points in every game this season.

Carly Frohnapfel, Denver, Sr., D
Frohnapfel tallied four caused turnovers against Stony Brook and added three ground balls, two caused turnovers, and five draw controls in a win over Fairfield.

Gracie Driggs, Georgetown, Sr., A
Driggs totaled five goals and eight draw controls in a 1–1 week for Georgetown, including four goals against No. 20 Loyola and one goal with eight draw controls in a win over Delaware.

Tess Osburn, Marquette, Sr., A
Osburn scored a career-high six goals on seven shots to lead Marquette to a 19–9 win at Youngstown State and now ranks first in the BIG EAST and 13th nationally with 23 goals.

Maya Graham, Xavier, So., A
Graham totaled three goals and five assists in a 1-1 week for the Musketeers. In a 16-2 win over Detroit Mercy, she set a career-high with six points, tallying three goals and dishing out three assists.
