Milwaukee Police Investigate Two Separate Weekend Shootings, Seek Public’s Help

Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 8:48 p.m., on the 1500 block of N. 21st Street. The 15-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. Milwaukee Police continue to investigate and identify a suspect. Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 11:34 p.m., on the 1000 block of W. Vel R Phillips. The 47-year-old victim sustained multiple gunshot injuries and succumbed to these injuries on the scene. Milwaukee Police continue to investigate and identify a suspect.
