WMLW ‘The M’ Announces “Basketball Day” on March 7
All Day Programming Celebrates the Game of Basketball
MILWAUKEE, WI (February 18, 2026) – Milwaukee’s WMLW ‘The M’ honors the game of basketball on March 7 with “Basketball Day: Celebrating the Game” – a full day of basketball games and basketball-themed programming.
In addition to specials, ‘The M’ will feature two live basketball games airing exclusively on local television. At 1:00 p.m., the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Girls Sectional showcases two outstanding high school teams vying for the state championship. Then at 6:30 p.m., coverage shifts to the pros as Bucks Live leads into the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup against the Utah Jazz.
“Basketball Day” special programming includes:
Too Short, Too Slow: America’s Most Unlikely Basketball Dynasty (a documentary on Bo Ryan’s successful run as coach of the UW-Platteville men’s basketball team);
Collector’s Call: Host Lisa Whelchel shares some of the most expansive and expensive basketball collections in the country;
Deer Wisconsin: This new episode features an exclusive one-on-one with new Bucks President Josh Glessing;
CBS 58 Sports Special: Hear from hometown stars Kon Kneuppel, John McGlocklin and more.
