Milwaukee Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting and Fatal Crash on North 76th Street
The Milwaukee Police Department are investigating the following two incidents. It is unknown at this time if they are related.
Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at approximately 12:43 a.m., on the 5900 block of North 76th Street. The victim, a 32-year-old, sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds and was conveyed to a local hospital for treatment. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s). Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at approximately 1:05 a.m., on the 6000 block of North 76th Street. The driver of vehicle was traveling north on North 76th Street, when it veered off the street, crashed, and started on fire. The driver of the vehicle is unidentified at this time and was pronounced deceased on scene. This investigation is ongoing.
