Taliesin Preservation Has Record Year for Tours and $4.5 Million in Economic Impact on the State of Wisconsin

SPRING GREEN, Wis. – Taliesin Preservation is excited to announce the success of its record-breaking 2025 season, with over 30,000 visitors and more than $4.5 million in economic impact to the region and the State of Wisconsin.

As an organization, our fundamental principles rely on the impact we create: learning together, building community, driving change, and providing resources to preserve Taliesin, the home, studio, and 800-acre estate of Frank Lloyd Wright in Spring Green, Wisconsin.

As we reflect on 2025, we are delighted to share with you some highlights:

• Increased the number of tour visitors by nearly 10% over 2024, with over 30,000 guests, and including more than 5,000 experiencing our new self-guided tour.
• Provided over $4.5 million in economic impact for the region and the State of Wisconsin.
• Received $5 million from the State of Wisconsin’s 2025–2027 biennial budget to support preservation and visitor services.
• Served more than 7,500 diners at Riverview Terrace Cafe, which was fully back in operation for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, and is reopening year-round beginning in January.
• Accommodated nearly 2,000 audience members who enjoyed concerts, classic films, lectures, and more in the newly restored Hillside Theater – more than four times as many as in 2024.
• Provided hands-on learning opportunities for close to 800 people, from creative writing and photography to foraging and chocolate-making.
• Immersed more than 1,000 students from third grade to high school in learning about Taliesin and Frank Lloyd Wright through field trips and programs.
• Increased sales and selection of Taliesin-specific merchandise at The Wright Gift Shop.

According to Carrie Rodamaker, Executive Director at Taliesin Preservation, “Along with our partners at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, we are intentionally working to bring Taliesin to the forefront of people’s minds when thinking about American architecture. Taliesin was not only Frank Lloyd Wright’s home, but his experiment on how we might live in better harmony with buildings and the natural environment. Seeing these numbers continue to grow year over year, and with the success we had in 2025, indicates to me that we’re on track with reaching our goals.”

As we look ahead to 2026, we continue to move forward with great energy, vision, and purpose. Our goals continue to focus on connecting with new audiences, providing preservation resources to Taliesin, and keeping Riverview Terrace Cafe open – the only remaining Frank Lloyd Wright-designed restaurant in the world.

We look forward to bringing even more people into our story, inviting them to explore Taliesin in new ways, and preserving this special place for generations to come.
