Launch of the Racine Farmers Market on the Lake
RACINE, WI — 5K Events.org is pleased to announce the establishment of the Racine Farmers Market on the Lake, a new community-focused initiative designed to strengthen the local food economy, promote small business growth, and enhance Racine’s historic lakefront.
“I couldn’t be more excited to see the Racine Farmers Market on the Lake come to life,” said Mayor Cory Mason. “This market will be an incredible addition to our lakefront and our downtown.”
In addition to serving as a marketplace, the new Racine Farmers Market aims to become a hub for community engagement and education. Programming will include health and wellness initiatives, small business support, live entertainment, and seasonal events designed to attract families and visitors to Racine’s downtown and waterfront areas.
“Our goal is to create more than just a market—it’s a gathering place where the community comes together to support local farmers and small businesses while enjoying everything Racine’s lakefront has to offer,” said Dawn Carrillo, market manager. “We want people to feel proud of where their food comes from and connected to the people who grow and make it.”
The market’s mission aligns with broader city efforts to bring people downtown, increase access to fresh affordable food, and provide foodshare initiatives to the downtown area residents.
