MILWAUKEE – Thursday, October 23rd – Milwaukee Film is delighted to introduce Milwaukee-based artist and creative director Milan Zori, also known as Dwellephant, who will be joining the arts nonprofit organization as Milwaukee Film’s new Marketing Director starting this November. Milan Zori previously served multiple roles in Milwaukee Film’s Marketing Department between 2012 and 2017, has stayed engaged with the organization’s work as a patron, and even illustrated the campaign artwork for the 2023 Milwaukee Film Festival.

“Shoutout to the universe for allowing this to happen. Some serious stars aligned, and now I get to come back to one of my favorite places on Earth, work with some of my favorite people in the universe, and use my creative powers for good to make the world jealous of our Festivals and historic cinemas,” expressed Milan Zori, Milwaukee Film’s new Marketing Director. “Susan [Kerns] was the reason I did my first freelance work for Milwaukee Film back in 2012 or so. Now, to be able to work with her in her Executive Director role, with this superteam she’s assembled? DREAM. COME. TRUE,” Zori concluded.

With over two decades of professional experience in marketing and creative services, Milan will be a key player in bringing Milwaukee Film to an even larger audience of film lovers and filmmakers alike. After his previous tenure at Milwaukee Film, Zori went on to spend three years working at CI Design as their Marketing & Content Strategist. Most recently, he was the Creative Director at Margle Media, managing a seven-person creative team for the past two years. His freelance illustration work under the pseudonym Dwellephant has become a staple in the Milwaukee community, and can be seen in logos, signage, and promotional materials for many local businesses, organizations, and events, including:

Executive Director Susan Kerns said, “Milwaukee Film is incredibly lucky Milan is choosing to join our team as Marketing Director. His career speaks for itself—his talent in so many areas is self-evident—and his past work with the organization makes him a natural for this role.” She continued, “He is also beloved in the community for his effervescent personality and work as Dwellephant, and we are eager to help him shine.”
