Revitalize Milwaukee to Complete Critical Repairs on 10 Homes in Burnham Park

By - Oct 13th, 2025 01:15 pm

On Saturday, October 18, Revitalize Milwaukee will mobilize teams of volunteers and skilled tradespeople to complete essential repairs on ten homes in the Burnham Park neighborhood. This one-day initiative is designed to help longtime residents—many of them elderly or low-income—continue living safely and comfortably in the homes they have cherished for decades.

The scope of work includes repairing hazardous steps and porches, installing accessibility upgrades, and addressing other safety and health-related concerns. These critical improvements will not only enhance individual homes but also strengthen the broader community.

“This is about more than fixing houses,” said Melanie Roach, CEO of Revitalize Milwaukee. “It’s about preserving dignity, preventing displacement, and investing in the long-term health of our neighborhoods. This work helps families remain in the places they call home—where they want and deserve to be.”

Located in one of Milwaukee’s historic and diverse neighborhoods, Burnham Park will see lasting benefits from this concentrated day of service. The project aims to spark community pride, inspire neighborly support, and serve as a catalyst for continued revitalization efforts.

Revitalize Milwaukee invites media representatives, community leaders, and supporters to witness the impact of this high-energy day of service—and the power of neighbors helping neighbors.
