To help all of us kick off Halloween Season here in Milwaukee, Café Corazón will host a spicy and spooky-themed paint and sip* after-hours event from 8-10 p.m. on October 19 at the Café Corazón in Bay View (2394 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) in Milwaukee.

The hands-on workshop pairs festive fun with spicy bites and drinks. Tickets cost $35 per person and include all art supplies, complimentary chips, guacamole, and Corazon’s famous house-made spicy salsa verde. Attendees are welcome to bring their own brushes and paint. Corazon’s full bar will also be open during the event, so attendees can purchase some liquid artistic inspiration. Guests can sign up to attend the class via this Eventbrite page.

“We wanted to help kick off the Halloween season with a fun and interactive event,” said Café Corazón Co-Owner Wendy Mireles. “With Halloween on a Friday night this year, it’s guaranteed to be a great run-up to the 31st in Milwaukee, and our paint and sip is the perfect way to get things started.”

Local Milwaukee Artist Jenny Jo Wennlund, renowned for her vibrant murals featuring faces throughout the city, will lead the boozy, adults-only art class. “Along with being an accomplished painter, Jenny Jo excels at making art approachable and fun,” said Kelsey McGuire, the General Manager at Café Corazón Bay View. “It’s going to be a great night on the 19th, as the margaritas will be flowing, and attendees will take home the artwork they create during the paint and sip.”

The bar will be open to non-painting sippers, too. “Bring out your non-artist friends, as well,” Mireles added. “Everyone’s invited to come out and help us kick start the Halloween season here in Milwaukee.”
