AARP launches ‘Luminous Life’ campaign to empower African American women

Milwaukee, WI – AARP’s Office of Community Engagement proudly announces the launch of Luminous Life, a transformative campaign designed to empower African American women ages 45–65 through curated resources in hair care, health, and wealth management.

The campaign will kick off with a signature event at the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, bringing together experts, influencers, and community leaders to celebrate wellness, financial empowerment, and cultural pride.

“Luminous Life is more than an event – it’s a movement,” said Amber Miller, Senior Associate State Director, Outreach at AARP Wisconsin. “We’re creating space for Black women to be seen, heard, and supported in every aspect of their lives.”
