State Rep. Francesca Hong’s Campaign for Governor Launches With Massive Grassroots Support, Online Momentum

Hong launch video outperforms combined field by over 332% on Facebook, 111% on Instagram, 223% on Twitter, 373% on TikTok

Madison, WI – State Rep. Francesca Hong launched her candidacy for Governor of Wisconsin with a massive outpouring of grassroots support from every corner of the state.

“We are building a movement across Wisconsin that knows better is possible if we rise together and fight for it,” said Rep. Hong. “The response we’ve seen from just the past few hours shows that Wisconsinites are ready to stand up for a better state and build a grassroots campaign that can take on special interests and win.”

Rep. Hong’s campaign is fueled by grassroots donations, not out of state billionaires or corporate PACs. The Hong campaign raised over $115,000 in the first 36 hours of the campaign, more than any candidate has reported. Hong has received donations from a majority of counties across the state, with 89% of online donations coming under $100.

Online, Hong’s message has broken through, with her launch announcement receiving over 1 million views across different platforms within 36 hours. Compared to the rest of the Democratic field combined, the Hong campaign launch video’s reach outperforms by over 332% on Facebook, 111% on Instagram, 223% on Twitter, and 373% on TikTok.
