Fatal Collision During Milwaukee Police Chase Leaves One Dead, Suspect at Large

Milwaukee Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit that occurred on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., on the 6000 block of W. Meinecke Ave. MPD officers observed a vehicle (Unit #1) wanted for a recent non-fatal shooting. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when Unit #1 struck Unit #2 traveling west on W. Center Street. Two individuals from Unit #1 fled the scene on foot and one, a 17-year-old male, was later taken into custody at a local hospital. The third unidentified occupant of Unit #1 was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The 30-year-old driver of Unit #2 suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced on the scene. A 31-year-old passenger of Unit #2 was conveyed to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Police continue to search for an unknown suspect from Unit #1.
