Representative Moore Omokunde: Statement on Gov. Evers Opting Not to Run for a 3rd Term
MADISON—Today, Governor Tony Evers announced that he will not seek a third term as Governor of Wisconsin. State Representative Supreme Moore Omokunde (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement:
“I want to thank Governor Evers for his service to Wisconsin, oft times proving the old phrase true that ‘the pen is mightier than the sword.’ He vetoed so much B.S from Legislative Republicans…I can only imagine how that pen smells. I’m hoping he gets to spend more time with his high school prom date / wife Kathy, enjoying pizza and ice cream, with a polka dance or two thrown in for good measure.”Representative Moore Omokunde represents the 17th Assembly District on the North and Northwest sides of Milwaukee.
