MILWAUKEE (July 22, 2025)Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) have joined forces once again to introduce an exciting new art installation as part of a long-term partnership at the Airport.

MIAD’s latest Airport art display can be found on Concourse D, near the gates for Delta Air Lines and Spirit Airlines. This is MIAD’s second installation at the Airport, titled MKE Prints. The collection of hand-pulled screen prints was created by Communication Design students.

Each piece offers a unique perspective on Milwaukee, focusing on the city’s landmarks and culture. The bold designs stand out and each piece tells a unique visual story.

“MKE Airport’s collaboration with MIAD underscores our commitment to showcasing our community to the millions of travelers who fly MKE every year. We look forward to continuing to display engaging art from MIAD students and alumni at the Airport, enhancing the travel experience for many years to come,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik.

“This two-year project by the students, now almost all recent alumni, fits right in with what the Airport is about. It’s about transportation, it’s about Milwaukee,” said Brian Bowles, associate professor of Communication Design and curator of the exhibit.
