MILWAUKEE – With Brewers all-time career home run leader Ryan Braun already committed to the Brewers Alumni Home Run Derby, the event has now added even more star and swing power to the festivities.

Today, Prince Fielder announced that he will bring his Brewers single-season home run record (50) and Brewers career 230 roundtrippers to the competition. The Alumni Home Run Derby is a highlight of the 25th Season of American Family Field Celebration, scheduled for Friday, July 25 when the Brewers face the Marlins. The Derby will take place immediately following the 3:10 p.m. game.

“It’s an honor to be back in Milwaukee, where it all started for me,” said Fielder. “American Family Field holds some of my favorite memories as a player, and I can’t wait to step back in the box and put on a show for the fans again.”

Former Brewers outfielder, Keon Broxton also confirmed his participation in the Alumni Home Run Derby. During his three seasons with the Brewers, he compiled 33 HR, 79 RBI and 49 stolen bases in 269 games.

The Home Run Derby will feature notable Brewers alumni team captains Ryan Braun and Carlos Gómez facing off and joined by Keon Broxton, Prince Fielder, Yovani Gallardo, Bill Hall, Corey Hart, Casey McGehee, Nyjer Morgan and Eric Thames. Longtime Brewers coach Ed Sedar and alum George Kottaras will serve as the pitching and catching duo.

Fielder had a standout career with the Brewers from 2005 to 2011, establishing himself as one of the most powerful hitters in franchise history. During his tenure, he became the youngest player in National League history to hit 50 home runs in a season (2007), a feat that also earned him the National League Hank Aaron Award. Fielder was a three-time All-Star while with the Brewers (2007, 2009, 2011) and won two Silver Slugger Awards (2007, 2011). He tied for the Major League lead and set a franchise record with 141 RBI in 2009. Fielder also holds the single-season home run record with 50 in 2007. Notably, he became the first Brewers player to win the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby, claiming the title in 2009.

Also added to attendees for other activities that day is Geoff Jenkins, who will join the previously announced alumni representing the 25 rosters. They include Ryan Braun, Keon Broxton, Carlos Gómez, Bill Hall, J.J. Hardy, Corey Hart, José Hernández, Prince Fielder, Yovani Gallardo, Corey Knebel, Dan Kolb, George Kottaras, Mark Loretta, Casey McGehee, Nyjer Morgan, Mike Moustakas, Jimmy Nelson, Jace Peterson, Ed Sedar, Ben Sheets, Eric Sogard, Eric Thames and Randy Wolf.

In addition to 10 players participating in the Derby, the group will engage with fans in photo and autograph sessions and much more throughout the day. All activities featuring alumni will be free for fans attending.
