MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, June 19, 2025 – Milwaukee music-lovers are invited to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Girls Rock MKE’s Ladies Rock Camp with a rooftop party and rock show on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Hailing from Milwaukee (now based in NYC), Abby Jeanne and the Shadowband will perform a celebratory set as part of a regional tour, along with a performance from Chicago supporting act The Knee-Hi’s and a reunion of beloved Milwaukee punk band Fox Face, who disbanded in 2022 and of which Hickey is the bassist. The all-ages event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Radio Milwaukee Studios’ (220 E. Pittsburgh Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53204) unique rooftop space, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. The event is a benefit for Girls Rock MKE programs and will feature a silent auction. Limited tickets (120) will be available soon at girlsrockmke.org. Supporters can RSVP on Facebook to be the first to know when they drop!
Ladies Rock Camp is a three-day music education experience for women and gender-expansive adults. Campers of all skill levels learn an instrument (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or vocals), form a band, write a song, and perform their song on stage at an end-of-camp showcase for friends, family, and fans. Ladies Rock Camp hosted a second annual session for the first time ever in 2025, with both showcase performances being held at Radio Milwaukee Studios.
The mission of Girls Rock MKE is to empower individuals of marginalized identities and diverse experiences through music education and performance.
