AFP Wisconsin Responds To Supreme Court Ruling

Court Decision Provides No Relief To The Many Struggling Under Obamacare

By - Jun 25th, 2015 11:29 am

MADISON, Wis. – Today, Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision earlier this morning to uphold the federal Obamacare Exchange in the controversial case, King v. Burwell:

“The Court’s decision today offers no relief to Obamacare’s many victims,” said Americans for Prosperity State Director Eric Bott. “For far too long, Obamacare’s burdensome taxes and mandates have wreaked havoc on American families and businesses. This law was hurting people yesterday and will continue to do so tomorrow.”

“Obamacare remains wildly unpopular and for good reason: it limits access to care and has sent premiums skyrocketing. Americans for Prosperity Wisconsin will continue pressing Congress to provide relief from the law’s expensive mandates and continue fighting for patient-centered reforms that work.”

A spokesman for the chapter said they planned to direct the public to voice their discontent with the law by signing the petition at www.americansforprosperity.org/burwell.

The national organization also announced plans to launch a significant digital buy with an ad advocating for people’s health over politics, which will reach most major media markets in the United States.

Your response to the Supreme Court’s ruling is full of propaganda, with nothing factual to back your claims.
You lost, and you are acting like sore losers. Get over it and move on.

  2. David Nelson says:

The main problem with this press release is that it is largely untrue. Many, many people have been helped, and ACA has contributed (along with other factors) to limiting the rising cost of healthcare. Yes, some people have experienced harm due to the changes wrought by ACA. Of course these folks would never admit that happens most times a health insurance policy changes. How about some commentary on that side of the equation? Also, many, many people are supporters of the ACA. Of course, AFP will never be touting the great number of people assisted by the law or of the enormous numbers who support the law.

  3. rnprn says:

American’s for Prosperity is a fascist Koch brother’s organization. It is funded by dark money. They want to end social security, Medicare, Medicaid, the post office. This is propaganda. The nation is leaning left, we are tired of the oligarch and will fight them.
